Abstract

As a member of the Israeli Medical Association, I am deeply disturbed by how medicine has become entwined with politics, as seen in the World Report.1 Criticism against Israel's Government should not be targeted against its doctors. The Israeli medical oath obligates extending a helping hand to the wounded and sick, whether friend or foe. However, actions speak louder than words. I am privileged to work every day, shoulder to shoulder, with Arab health-care workers and doctors, constituting a quarter of Israel's physicians.
